A Ginger Snap! Sneak Peek! Old Meets New.

Finally I opened my Daydream Medallions stamp set and the matching Floral Frames Collection Framelits.  What a fun combination.  I created a 5-1/4" square card in order to accomodate the largest framelit.    This was one of those create as you go cards.  I wasn't sure where it would end up.  But, let me share it with you, and then I can fill in some details.

Daydream medallion w envelope 1

Because my card is bigger than normal, I made a larger than standard size  envelope from matching Garden Gingham dsp.  The Simply Scored Diagonal Plate makes it so easy to do.  Four score lines and a bit of snipping to create a special envelope to match my card.  I really like the coordination.  How about you?  I am so excited to share how  I will seal the envelope.  Can you believe that there is matching Garden Gingham Washi Tape – need I say more!  A strip is going right across the tip of the flap on my envelope!  Of course, i couldn't show that yet.

Okay, now for the inside of the card.

Did you catch the new sentiment?  It is from a new stamp set called Really Good Greetings.  The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Daffodil Delight c.s. that was cut with a Floral Framelit.  The card liner is the same dsp that I used to create the envelope.   It is the flip side of the Island Indigo check on the front of the card.

A Ginger Snap! Sneak Peek!

Woohoo!  My Stampin' Up! preorder for the new catalog just arrived!  Although I am on my way to a workshop, you know where I will be and what I will be doing later.  Of course, I had to open the box and take a quick survey.  Can't wait to get home and really check out my goodies!

Because I attended the Regional in Riverton, I was able to purchase a few supplies that I have been using for my Sneak peeks.  The focus of my card today is the Gingham Garden dsp.  Perfect paper for clean & simple cards.  Take a look and then I will tell you what else I used.

Remembering Your Birthday1

When you need a quick card, this dsp is just the ticket for a bright and cheerful card.  The funky cut is accented by some flowers punched from Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight & Island Indigo c.s. with the Boho Blossoms Punch.  The largest flower is perked up by a Vintage Faceted Designer Button threaded with Island Indigo Baker's Twine.  The smaller flowers were feeling left out so I added a bit of sparkle to them with a Basic Rhinestone.  The Island Indigo sentiment is from a new stamp set called Remembering Your Birthday.  It will undoubtedly be one of my go to sets for birthday sayings.

I appreciate your comments and I do read each and every one.  Thank you for taking the time to leave me a message.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

A Ginger Snap! Sneak Peek!

It has been a whirlwind of activity around my house so my card today is rather simple.   I wanted to showcase some of the new in-color inks. So, I wanted to put the emphasis  on being able to see the color.  They are gorgeous colors – reminds me of sherbert!

Hello In-colors
The ink colors used are all from Stampin' Up!Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana.  Aren't they luscious colors?  To create the vertical stripes, , I simply used a sponge dauber with the particular ink.  The "hello" is from the stamp set My Friend 122587.  If you look close, you will notice that two of the corners are rounded.  In addition, the layer with the stripes is popped up with dimensionals.

I just have to tell you that I am jumping out of my skin with excitement.  My pre-order is scheduled to arrive today.  Let's hope for morning rather than evening.  It will be so exciting when everyone can see the new catalog.  It is definitely worth waiting for!
