I am excited to be part of the newly created Design Team #2 for PPA. Our team will be basically alternating with team #1 in order to provide you with plenty of opportunity to participate in a challenge. The Color Challenge for today is shown below.

Although these colors could definitely be used for a patriotic card, they can also be used for other purposes. Here is my take on this color combo.

Look closely and you will notice that the Very Vanilla card is attached to the Cherry Cobbler/Midnight Muse layer. Sometimes I just want something a little different than the standard card.

The stamp set Mosaic Madness provides a variety of geometrical images that coordinate with the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder. The images are dressed up with some Pearls. And, some 3/4" Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon adds the finishing touch.

It's been awhile since I have created a card. Do you find that when you have been away from creating that it takes some time to get focused again? I sure did. It felt like I forgot how to create! But, I do have a card to share with you.

The Kind & Cozy stamp set from Stampin' Up reminds me of a picnic on a warm summer day. Because the weather has been so nice, I thought that it would be fun to make a card to match the weather.

Although the 4th of July has come and gone, I am still in the mood for patriotic colors. And, they fit with the "picnic" theme.

Did you notice the strip of homemade washi tape? I stamped an image from the Tape It stamp set on Cardstock Vellum and cut it out with my Snips. Look closely and I think you can tell that it is the top banner with the chevron pattern.
A word of caution. Be sure to use the Heat Gun on setting 1 to dry the ink. If you don't, you might find that your ink will smear. Ask me how I know!
