A shout out and a big thank you to Mary Fish – my upline, for giving me the chance to be a guest blogger on her Stampin' Pretty blog today! Thank you Mary! And, welcome to those of you who have arrived here from Mary's blog. Although my card today may look complicated, the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts Die does the heavy lifting. A strategic cut with the Deco Label Framelits, and the card is well on its way. Take a peek and you will see what I am talking about.

The inspiration for this card came from a video that I watched by the designer of the Pop 'n Cuts Die, Karen Burniston. Although her card was for Halloween, I changed it up to create a Christmas card. Would you like to watch the video? Here's the You Tube link.

Stampin' Up! Pop 'n Cuts Flying Easel Card
by Karen Burniston .

My husband definitely wondered what I was up to when I asked him for some fishing line. He kinda gave me a funny look when I
told him that I needed to hang some snowflakes!
The card looks considerably different when it is closed.

Yikes – say that title 3 times quick! Karen Burniston, the creator of my favorite sizzix die – the Pop Up Die, has created some wonderful & unique cards with this die. When I was checking out her blog, karenburniston.com, I found an amazing Halloween card that I wanted to make. Of course, I wanted it to be my own, so I changed it up.

Isn't this a fun card? Can you imagine opening this up and having the ornaments pop up just like they are floating in air! If you look closely, you can see that a vellum spiral is what provides the magic. The ornaments are attached with glue dots to the spiral.
The ornaments are stamped with the Christmas Collectibles stamp set in Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive & Crumb Cake ink. By the wonder of Stampin' Up! they are then punched out – yes, punched not fussy cut!, with the Christams Ornament Punch. The best news, the stamp set & the punch are bundle priced which means that you save !5%, if you purchase them together !
The Season of Style dsp was my paper pack of choice. Matter of fact, I think I need to order another pack of this fun stuff. It come s in both a full-size package of paper and the useful Paper Pack size.
Be sure to check back tomorrow as I will have another fun pop=up card for you.
Here's a pic of what the card looks like when it is closed.
