Ear;ier this week, I posted a card using the Ampersand Embossing Folder. At that time, I promised you another card would be posted this week using the same folder. well, today is the day!
Another simple card! Sometimes we really do want a handmade card but our available time is limited. This Ampersand Textured Embossing Folder is just the ticket when the spirit is willing but the flesh isn't able! In other words, when you are in need of a quick card, this is the ticket.
I used the "You + Me" stamp from the Hip Notes Stamp set. Using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, I first colored the "you" and stamped it. After cleaning the stamp, I repeated the process but inked the "you". The Basic Metal Buttons from the Occassions Mini united my sentiment. I had a sliver of Primrose c.s. left over from another project so i used it to tie a knot in my button.
Can't get much simpler than this!

Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.
With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I decided to use this challenge to create a card for my husband.
The color theme works fine for a masculine Valentine card and the Crazy, Mixed-Up Love Stamp Set provides just a touch of whimsy. I stamped the "blender" from the stamp set in real red ink and fussy cut it to pop up on the Whisper White tag cut with the Chalk Talk Framelit. I cut a 2nd tag in Soft Sky c.s. in order to mat the Whisper White tag. Cut it in half to provide an adequate mat. The sentiment was cut and saved so it could be place to the side of the blender rather than underneath it.
The tags ensemble was then popped up on a tag punched with the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch found on page 35 of the new Occassions Catalog. Just cut a 2"-wide strip of paper any length you want and the punch does the rest. It even punched the hole for my 1/4" Real red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon! A piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine added another touch to my tag. Look closely at the bottom of the tag to see that I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set for added visual interest.
The Real Red Banner was created with the new Banner Framelits from the new Occassions Catalog and embossed with the Chevron Embossing Folder for a masculine touch. I used the Small Heart Punch with Real Red c.s. to add a Valentine look to the bottom of the tag. A few rhinestones and my card was finished!

Today I am sharing my swap card for Leadership. I wanted a "happy card" so I first chose the stamp set to fit my theme. Starburst Sayings & Framelits Bundle were the perfect choice.. I love the sentiment "you make the world a better place". The bundle has both the stamp set and the framelits to cut out the stamped images. The best part is that the bundles are 15% off!
Of course, I wanted a color palette to match the "happy" theme. The Occassions Mini has a delicious new paper Stack called Fresh Prints. Exactly what I needed. With a color combo of Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Crumb Cake, it definitely says happy!
The layout for my card is from a Mojo Monday Sketch. Because one of my paper choices had dots, I decided to enhance that with the new Decorative Dots Embossing Folder from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog – you can earn it free with a $50 purchase from January 28 – March 31.
Look closely and you will spy another new Embossing Folder. It was used on the Crumb Cake cardstock. It is the Arrows Textured Impressins Embossing Folder which can be found on page 26 of the new Occassions Mini Catalog.
The Mojo Monday Sketch showed some banners so I complied with banners created from my Fresh Prints Paper Stack. They were nice but I felt that they needed something else. So, I stamped a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set on the bottom banner. The Small heart Punch came to my rescue for the top banner. Add a few Pearls and a strip of 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon and my card was finished.
It always makes me nervous to join card swaps. I hope they like my creation! What do you think – will it be okay?
