This is an easy & quick card with some style. Can you tell that I am pleased with it.

The design is basically the same as the cards I posted yesterday. The Decorative Dots Texture Impressions Embossing folder livens up the Whisper White c.s. Background that is placed on a Coastal Cabana card base.. In place of the triangles on the card from yesterday, I used the Banner Blast Stamp Set & the coordinating Banner Punch and altered the direction of them in relation to the sentiment. The banners are stamped in Real Red, Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana.

The stamp set Says It All from the Celebrate yhe Everyday catalog creates the perfect sentiment for the size of my card which is 3-1/2" x 5" finished size. A small Cherry Cobbler button with a linen thread bow add the final touch.
Here's a look at the cards side-by-side.

Before I share my cards for today, I wanted to let you know that some new items have been added to the Clearance Rack. Check it out by clicking on the shop now button located at the top of this page. Some items will go quickly so if you see something you are interested in purchasing, don't wait. These are While Supplies Last. Both Clearance Rack purchases and Weekly Deal purchases count toward Sale-A-Bration freebies!
Moving on in our series of Quick & Easy cards, today I am sharing another card created by Stampin' Up! Concept Artists and featured in our Stampin' Success magazine designed for Demonstrators to share with our customers. In the magazine, they showed 2 variations of this card by just using 2 different color combos.

The Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was used on the Whisper White c.s. to create some texture and visual interest. It really complememnts the triangle images from the Geometrical Stamp Set. Stamping 3 different triangles with 3 different Classic Inks adds some zing to the card.

Finishing touches – the sentiment, also from the Geometrical Stamp Set, is stamped in the same color as the card base. One is done with Midnight Muse and the other with Calypso Coral. Both cards are accented with a Basic Metal Button tied with Linen Thread. The card base is 5" x 7" with scoring at 3-1/2". Thus, the finished size of the card is 3-1/2" x 5". So, basically the same size as the Note Cards from Stampin' Up! which means that you can choose to create a matching envelope or you can choose to use an envelope from the notecards.
Stampin' Up! does an awesome job of grouping items together that will work well together. I love it when they do it because it takes the guess work out of creating. In this case, if you look on page 26 of the Celebrate the Everyday Catalog – also referred to as the Spring Occassions Mini, you will find most of the items used on this card. And, they have bundled together the Geometrical Stamp Set with the Triangle Punch. The best part, you save 15% if you purchase the bundle rather than purchasing the items individually.
PLease come back tomorrow and Friday to see how I used this design to create a thank you card and a birthday card. Thank you for the kind comments and for letting me know that you like this series. Your comments are so important to me. I read each and every one and it helps to keep me posting!

Feb 18, 2014 | Thank You |
Are you ready for 1 more card in my Quick & Easy card design series? Using the same basic design as the previous 2 days, I created a thank you card.

Once again I selected a bold patterned dsp. This time it is a selection from the Occassions Mini Catalog called Retro Fresh dsp. Instead of anchoring the sentiment with a narrow cardstock strip, I changed it up by using a piece of Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim.

Keeping with the square theme provided by the dsp, I punched a small square from So Saffron cardstock picking up yet another color from the dsp. The square establishes the base for the Calypso Coral Button. A sweet bow tied with Pool Party Twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessorry Pack ( a freebie with a $50 purchase before shipping & tax) livens up the button. It can be found in the Sale-a-brations flyer.
Did you notice that my colors are not exactly the same but they still work together. For example, I used Coastal Cabana Ribbon & Pool Party Twine. Also, I used a Calypso Coral button and I stamped with Calypso Coral ink but the color found in the dsp is Tangerine Tango. That's the beauty of using Stampin' Up! products – the colors blend!
As you can see, my basic card design is the same as what I used previously. But, changing up the paper, embellishments and sentiment change the look of the card. Another "Quick & Easy card"! Take a look at this card compared to the one that inspired it.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow because I will be using another caed from the Stampin' Success Magazine for my inspiration. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
